[W]hile a creed can rightly be a personal compass, it’s wrongly deployed as marching orders or a governing strategy.
As I discuss in my book:
Wouldn’t it be easier and ultimately much more beneficial to mankind if we were all guided by the objective of doing and behaving and believing based on what is indeed good and beneficial to most (or better still: all) of us? Wouldn’t it make more sense now and in the long term to be completely untethered from efforts to try and follow whichever Deity’s will we think is the One and Only? Wouldn’t that free us up to be even more and better—and even “holier” if that is important?
